Design Philosophy
INCLUSIVE DESIGN, TRULY ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL
Accessible Design
We recognize that custom design isn't always within reach, so we've curated a range of solutions such as predesigned ADUs, modular units, and panel kits that make high-quality design more affordable. Our ADUs prioritize sustainable design, ensuring beauty, function, and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
Universal Design
Our mission is to make thoughtful design accessible to everyone. That’s why we incorporate standard accessibility features across all our projects, supporting your family’s evolving needs over time. As circumstances change, our ADUs are designed to foster independent living and enhance quality of life.
Commitment to giving back
While serving the housing needs of the Bay Area, we also understand that some families struggle with day to day quality of life. In the spirit of serving, our team gives back by volunteering annually with the Alameda Community Food Bank and our founder Carrie, works with various organizations like The Living Room Life Center to assist, advocate and educate for alternative housing solutions during the California housing crisis.
Why Architecture?
Lets take a moment to hear from some of our team members.
Evren, one of our Project Managers, has managed some of Inspired ADUs most high-profile projects. We asked Evren what inspired him to pursue a career in Architecture.
Evren: “It all began with a simple urge to arrange the space around me. As a kid, I was constantly rearranging my bedroom, chasing that sense of freshness and renewal each new layout brought. I felt a similar spark riding in the backseat of my parents’ car, gazing out the window at the beautiful houses and structures that lined the roads. The architects behind those spaces shaped my early memories and helped me understand the meaning of beauty. That inspiration led me to pursue a career in architecture — with the hope of creating spaces that evoke the same feelings for others. In my world, everything begins with the spaces around us; they make us think, bring us joy, and teach us how to express ourselves."
Why Design & Architecture?
Lamiae, our Interior’s & Product Designer, collaborates with our founder, Carrie, to shape the company’s brand aesthetics while leading our interior design projects. We sat down with Lamiae to learn more about why she chose a career in design and to hear about some of her favorite projects!
Lamiae: “I grew up in Morocco, surrounded by bold, colorful architecture and intricate patterns everywhere I looked. From a young age, I was inspired by my environment and loved drawing buildings, always knowing I wanted to design them one day. After moving to the U.S., I pursued my passion by studying architecture and working at a commercial firm — but I quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit. I found myself gravitating toward creating presentations and graphic work instead. That led me to return to school to study UX design, especially as tech jobs were booming during the pandemic.
Today, my work blends all of these interests: a little bit of user experience on the web, some graphic design for marketing, and some interior work that ties back to my architecture roots. What I love most about design is the real, tangible value it brings to people's lives — seeing how grateful clients are at the end of a project makes it incredibly rewarding.”
